Using Foreign Languages in Academia
In my first blog post, I’d like to share my experience with working simultaneously in three languages, Hungarian, English, and French.
I’m a PhD candidate at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. My main area of research is the early medieval political and social history of present-day France. I'm currently writing my dissertation on the inner dynamics of 11th-century Provençal society, focusing on the network of the abbey of Saint-Victor (Marseille). I’m also a certified translator, so if you need anything translated from or to Hungarian, feel free to contact me! When not working, I enjoy solving logical puzzles, creating videos for YouTube, and all kinds of endurance sports.
